“Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
Luke 12:37-40 (KJV)
When will the rapture happen? When will Jesus return? Will there even be a rapture?
There are questions on the minds of many people concerning the rapture and return of Jesus. Indeed, there are those that have set specific dates as to the when the rapture will happen. The truth is, some of these claims have real basis for their position.
Certain things that need to align and happen for the rapture to take place have already happened and are still happening.
However, my encouragement to you as an individual is to live ready for the events of the last days. Worry less about a specific date. Instead, be mindful that it can take place at any time, and live ready.
My personal conviction is that we are indeed in the very last days.
So, how can you live ready as an individual?
1- Ensure you are saved.
Please make sure you are saved. That is, you have confessed the salvation prayer accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour. Romans 10:10
2- Return back to the Lord
If you are not sure or you think you may have fallen away, return back to the Lord. Endeavour to live each day intentionally. Set your heart on things that pertain to kingdom, desire to please God and to walk in his commandments.
Because you are flesh, you may make mistakes still as he works on you. But always be quick to return to the Lord. His grace will be sufficient for you. I John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
3- Follow peace with men.
As much as it is possible with you, follow peace with all men. Hebrews 12:14. As much as you can, avoid offence, forgive easily. Let bitterness, hatred and anger go.
4. Promote the kingdom
Do your bit in promoting the kingdom of God. You can do this in various ways:
Speaking to others about Christ and leading them to Salvation (Evangelism. Proverbs 11:30 – “he that winneth souls is wise”, Proverbs 3:35 – “the wise shall inherit glory”
– Praying for people in general to come to the knowledge of the Lord. (Angels can help you to carry this out. (Hebrews 1:14: “Are not the angels ministering spirits sent to minister to the heirs of Salvation”)
– Invest or spend your money to promote the kingdom. Give to the needy, pay to support outreaches and church programmes.
Luke 16:9 (AMP) “And I tell you [learn from this], make friends for yourselves [for eternity] by means of the wealth of unrighteousness [that is, use material resources as a way to further the work of God], so that when it runs out, they will welcome you into the eternal dwellings”

We will make it in Jesus name. Amen.
